Tanner Brown Named Big 12 Special Teams Player of the Week Follow Texas Tech Game
STILLWATER – Oklahoma State kicker Tanner Brown was named the Big 12 Special Teams Player of the Week following his performance in the 41-31 win over Texas Tech.
This marks Brown’s second Big 12 PotW honor in his career.
Brown went 4-for-4 on field goal attempts, which tied his career-high, as well as third-most for made field goals in a game in program history. His four field goals were from yards of 22, 24, 34 and 42 yards, with his 24-yard FG late in the third quarter giving the Pokes their first lead since early in the second quarter.
He was also 3-for-3 on extra points, which gives him a streak 62 attempts in a row, while leading all OSU scorers with 15-points in the game.
On the season, Brown is now 8-of-8 on field goal attempts.
According to Oklahoma State Athletics Media Relations, this marks the Pokes’ sixth PotW honor, the second week in a row and third overall on the season an OSU player has been named the Big 12 Special Teams Player of the Week.
