Match-Ups and Predictions: Muhammad and Cowboy Corners Ready for TCU Challenge

STILLWATER – The consequence of winning a big game like the Cowboys did in Waco almost two weeks ago over Baylor, the rematch of the 2021 Big 12 Championship Game is you just set up a match-up that is even greater. That is what we have with the Cowboys (5-0/2-0) on Saturday at TCU (5-0/2-0). In between the Pokes had to rally and survive a so-called sandwich game with Texas Tech. The truth of the matter is Texas Tech, like much of the Big 12 is more than capable.

Our lack of run game and explosiveness will come out in this game. Can't play catchup when you can't play any defense. This will be the first of 3 losses over the next 4 games.. The lack of stars is about to get real.

- TCU offensive numbers inflated by facing the 86, 93, 103, 118 and Tarlton St defenses.

- OSU defensive yards allowed not great, but 35th in stop rate. TCU 56th in stop which includes facing 3 totally inept offenses - Colorado, Tarlton and OU.

Spencer Sanders. 27-8 vs FBS, 10-5 on the road w/16 TOs
Max Duggan: 16-17 vs FBS, 8-9 at home w/18 TOs

I'll take the more dependable QB. OSU offense should roll, defense will be challenged, but will get just enough stops. OSU advantage in special teams.

What is hilarious and to show that he must be a Biden supporter type is that OSU gained nearly 170 yards on the ground (166 to be exact) against arguably the best front seven in the Big XII two weeks ago in Waco , but don't let facts get in the way! LOLOLOL

This will be a dog fight, no doubt, as every game in the Big XII has proven to be! But TCU is not 34 points better than OSU! This should be a close game!

I'm going back and forth on this game.... OSU seems to find a way to get things done with adequate offense, good defense and solid special teams. I think we can just keep the play in front of our guys and just manage a win with our better talent and preparation, but it is on the road.... very tough game to call.

If we don't try to get too greedy, then I think we can simply wear them down with our DLine and have more left in the tank in the 4th quarter.

TCU has not done that much to impress me, other than beating some so-so teams. (Same with OSU, Baylor's loss last night sort of shown another spotlight on our successes).

I am starting to think that the whole league is down this year, maybe it's only a reflection of the QB injuries so far, but I can't point to any big wins on anybody's schedule that impresses me. The UT/Bama game is one of those types of games, but Texas lost, so there is that, and Bama struggled with other teams this year too.

All in all, it's a pretty strange season across the country, IMO.

This will be a heavy weight bout, with devastating body punches throughout, testing the strength and fitness of both teams. It will come down to special teams and turnovers, with the Cowboys winning both of those categories and the Pokes prevail, pulling away in the fourth. 38-24. Good chance we see these guys again the Conference championship game.

I personally feel pretty good about this game. We've had a tough Texas Tech team push us and survived. I expect TCU to be a tad less of a challenge than Tech. Past history in that stadium involved personnel issues over and over. We have multiple receivers this time and our running game is due a big game. Defense steps up and frustrates toads. Cowboys by 13......41-28.

For the record, and accuracy, what's the other 2 losses? Like I said, I appreciated your declarations, but please clarify the one win you predicted of the four games so we can all keep pace.

They will lose to Texas, Kstate, OU, possible ISU (that defense is the best in the conference and we can't run the ball to save our lives.) their offense is awful though.
