Tanner Brown Named Big 12 Special Teams Player of the Week Following TCU

October 17, 2022

STILLWATER – Oklahoma State kicker Tanner Brown has earned a second-straight Big 12 Player of the Week honor following his performance in the 43-40 double-overtime loss to TCU this past weekend.

This marks the third PotW honor of his career.

Brown was 4-of-4 in the game, hitting from 32, 34, 35 and 52 yards, making him 12-of-12 for field goals on the season. It marked his second-straight game hitting four field goals and the third of his career. His 52-yarder in overtime set a career-high for Brown.

With making eight-straight FGs in two games, Brown joined former Cowboy kickers Quinn Sharp (2012) and Larry Roach (1982) as the only three to do so in program history. He also currently holds the longest active streak in college football with 15-straight FGs.

He was also 4-for-4 on extra point kicks, giving him 66-straight made extra points. According to the Big 12, Brown is also first in the nation in kicker scorer (11.0 points), second in field goals made (2.0) and fourth among all scoring positions.
