STILLWATER – The JUCO offers in the 2023 class continue for Oklahoma State as they’ve extended an offer to Jones College defensive back, Lardarius Webb Jr.
Webb Jr. checks in at 5-10, 170-pounds and is out of Jackson, Mississippi, where he currently plays for Jones College and previous played for Jackson Academy in high school. He currently holds offers from Akron, Arkansas State, Georgia State, Jacksonville State, Kansas, South Alabama and Southern Miss among others.
Webb is having an incredibly sophomore season, which was preceded by an incredible freshman season, which I’ve detailed below. In eight games, Webb has recorded 20 total tackles, 12 of which have been solo stops, 4.0 tackles for loss, five pass break ups and five interceptions, which he’s recorded 206 yards.
This past season as a freshman, Webb played in all 10 games for the Bobcats, starting in six, and was electric. He recorded 29 total tackles, three of which were tackles for loss, a team-high nine pass break ups, which was tied for 12th in all of NJCAA, and three interceptions. He returned one of the interceptions 75-yards to the house.
He was also a prolific punt returner as he returned 17 punts for an average of 12.1 yards a return, best in the MACCC, including a 62-yard return for a touchdown. He finished the season First Team All-MACCC.
Originally committed to Nebraska, Webb transferred to Jackson Academy from Beauregard HS in Opelika, Ala, where he had a very good senior season. He finished with 58 tackles, 5.0 tackles for loss and nine pass break ups. He finished the season as a second team All-State selection by the Clarion Ledger and recorded two interceptions in the MAIS All-Star game.
