STILLWATER – Oklahoma State defensive end Brock Martin was named to the Lombardi Award midseason watch list on Thursday.

The redshirt super senior out of Oologah, OK, has been a key contributor nearly every year he’s been on the roster. Through six games this season, Martin’s recorded 19 total tackles, 12 of which have been solo stops, including five tackles for loss and three sacks. He also has one pass break up and one forced fumble.

He missed the Texas game due to an injury.

His 2021 season was the best of his career as he recorded 41 total tackles, 21 of which were solo stops, 14 tackles for loss and nine sacks. He was tabbed First Team All-Big 12 by the league’s coaches and Second Team All-Big 12 by the Associated Press, while being named an honorable mention for Big 12 Defensive Lineman of the Year.

Through 56 career games, Martin’s recorded 123 total tackles, 72 of which have been solo stops, 32.5 tackles for loss and 15.5 sacks, five fumble recoveries, two pass breakups and one forced fumble.
