Four-Star 2023 Running Back Kedrick Reescano Decommits From Michigan State

STILLWATER – Four-star running back Kedrick Reescano took to Twitter Thursday afternoon to announce he’s decommitted from Michigan State.

The news comes less than a week after Reescano was in Stillwater on an official visit during the 41-34 win over No. 20 Texas.

Reescano is a 5-11, 190-pound running back in the 2023 class out of New Caney (TX) High School. He currently holds 15 offers in this cycle. Reescano’s having a very strong senior season as he’s tallied 1,200 yards and a whopping 22 touchdowns on 148 carries through just eight games. He’s averaging 150 yards a game and an incredible 8.1 yards per carry.

Reescano is a versatile back that can glide and ease his way into the open field. He has power and he possesses multiple speeds and gears. It is fun to see him burst and then drop his speed, make a move, and watch as defenders slide by him so that he can crank up the speed again and get to the end zone. He is also an excellent pass catcher as he has 14 receptions for 206 yards and two touchdowns.

He committed to Michigan State way back in January 2022 and made his first official visit in East Lansing. He then officially visited both Arkansas and Ole Miss, the Hogs over the summer and Ole Miss the week before he was in Stillwater.

Running backs coach John Wozniak has been working very hard the past months to flip Reescano, with a lot of effort going into the official visit this past weekend. Wozniak has had a lot of success recruiting talented running backs to Stillwater, with him landing four-star back Ollie Gordon in the 2022 class and Jaden Nixon in 2021, both of which have made an impact this season.

Well, this may be the next commitment for the Pokes! He supposedly had a tremendous visit this past homecoming weekend, plus Stillwater is much closer to home!! We shall see what happens!

We need...NEED...more depth at RB. Dom is good, but does not seem to measure up to the talent standard of our previous running backs.. Hubbard, Hill, Carson, Warren, Joe Randall, Toston, Bell, Hunter....not to mention the other three, you know who I mean. Also, the jury is still out on Gordon and Nixon, although they appear to be pretty good. Nevertheless, it seems like each week we are getting shredded (that might be an overstatement) but TT, TCU, UT, and Baylor ALL had better, more gifted runners than the pokes. Frankly, I don't get it. We ought to have the same kind of RB depth that they seem to have at the aforementioned schools. But, unless Gordon and Nixon just have not had the opportunity to show it, we just ain't got it. So, come on Kedrick, get on board!! We need you.

Yeah, we'll have a few like Gordon along the way that want to be at OSU, but those looking for money over opportunity they wouldn't make it here any way. I hope he does choose OSU, but if he doesn't no loss.

Have an In-State kid (Trenden Collins -Muldrow HS) Thats leading the state right now in rushing 1,969 yards and scoring with 179 points, 2nd in TD's with 28.

RA continues to talk about him on the radio and went to Sallisaw to watch him play. He is Terry Collin's son, former OSU basketball player for those who have not made the connection, and his sister plays basketball here now. Maybe another Malcolm Rodriguez type player that has been overlooked.
