Anderson III led the way in scoring for the Pokes last season with 12.1 points per game, while Thompson was second with 10.6 points. As for Cisse, he averaged 7.2 points and 6.5 rebounds per game, while leading the conference in blocks with 54 on the season.

Mike Boynton and Co. have brought in a talented trio of newcomers with transfers John-Michael Wright and Caleb Asberry and freshman Quion Williams.
The Mavericks are led by head coach Greg Young and are coming off an 11-18 season last year, which including an 88-45 loss to OSU. However, UTA returns just four players from last year’s roster, Pedro Castro, Montez Young Jr., Shemar Wilson and Brandyn Talbot.
Redshirt senior transfer guard Aaron Cash (Texas A&M) and transfer guard Marion Humphrey (Salt Lake C.C.) are projected as starters for the Mavericks. As are returners Talbot, Castro and Wilson.
While it’s a drastically different team than last year, the Mavericks averaged 67.2 points per game last season on 42% shooting from the field. They also shot 31% from three-point range and 70% from the free throw line.
