The Pokes need TCU to win out. A Texas win over TCU would be a major hit for the Cowboys to reach Arlington, even if we win out.
Class 1980
STILLWATER – Just two weeks ago Oklahoma State was ranked No. 8 in the country and was fresh off an impressive second half finish to beat Texas 41-34 inside Boone Pickens Stadium for Homecoming. The second half of the game was a battle with Oklahoma State seeing players drop and several taken to the training room. A couple came back out and re-entered the contest. It was a game that head coach Mike Gundy agreed was the gutsiest that he’d seen as head coach.
Agreed, TCU needs to win out, and should, IMObackphil said:

I'm not sure what Texas beating TCU would get us.... Texas has to lose another game, and against TCU is the likely game. I don't think a TCU loss helps us in any way, we're too far behind them.Imapoke said:
No we need them to lose to Texas, who we beat, then win out.
that seems fair, but either way we play TCU, and wouldn't it be more impressive beating an undefeated PurpleFrog team?Imapoke said:

getting some of the defenders back, and having them play in their correct positions might help.Jally said:
I will tell y'all right now not one of Robert's matchups will mean a damn if we can't stop the run. The last three games we have given up 6.6 yards per carry!!!! And KU averaged the most!!!
You're right, but if TCU beats UT and everything else happens then OSU still has the tie-breaker over Baylor. There's no reason to want UT to win the TCU game or any other. They already got gifted the KSU win and that was the most important one for us.Imapoke said:

I'll agree with that. I get it the D had rough games the last two weeks, but a lot of that was that the offense gave them no help. Had the Offense scored on those first two possessions, even FG's, then we have a much different game at the close of the 2nd quarter and in the 3rd quarter when the D played very well, and the O did nothing.CaliforniaCowboy said:getting some of the defenders back, and having them play in their correct positions might help.Jally said:

We haven't seemed to have been able to get a sustained rush, and blitzes seem to have dropped off (I believe due to injuries).
IMO, the best way to stop the ISU pass rush is to have a 2 score lead (meaning our problems are more offensive, not defensive. IMO) ISU has a superb defense, so getting and maintaining a lead is going to be tough
