First NET Rankings of the 2022-23 Season Released Monday

STILLWATER – The first NET Rankings of the 2022-23 NCAA basketball season were released on Monday morning, with Oklahoma State checking in at No. 74.

According to the NET, OSU is No. 9 in the Big 12.

• No. 12 Texas
• No. 18 Kansas
• No. 22 Iowa State
• No. 32 Baylor
• No. 46 OU
• No. 52 Kansas State
• No. 62 Texas Tech
• No. 74 Oklahoma State
• No. 81 TCU

The Cowboys are 5-3 on the season, with losses to Illinois State, UCF and UConn, and according to the NET are 0-1 against the lone Quad 1 team, 0-1 against the lone Quad 2 team, 1-1 against Quad 3 teams and 4-0 against Quad 4 teams.

UConn is currently ranked No. 2 in the NET, with Southern Illinois checking in at No. 84 and UCF at No. 95. The Cowboys have a chance to greatly improve their rankings on Tuesday as they play host to Sam Houston, who’s currently No. 7 in the NET.
