Portal Quiet on Tuesday, Players Practiced on Tuesday, Numbers on Departures

STILLWATER – Oklahoma State football was back at practice inside Boone Pickens Stadium on Monday night and the players have the day on Tuesday as coaches hit the road for home recruiting visits. The Cowboys next practice will be on Wednesday. Head coach Mike Gundy is out for several visits Tuesday, including some in the Tulsa area like NEO defensive tackle and originally Tulsa Edison product Iman Oates.

Wisconsin is such bad matchup.

Braylin and Mason C are the biggest losses. Spencer would have been gone this year had we not had Covid. The fact that we don't have a QB on campus to fill his role is really telling, scary even.

The QB they will be starting has thrown approximately 5 passes all year long and played at the end of two games because their starter Mertz is going into the portal like Sanders, they will be the traditional three yards and a cloud of dust! The Quarterback we will be starting has played in four games and started two Big XII games and has gone 45 of 84 for nearly 500 yards and three TDS to 3 INTS. Not to mention they are on their third Head Coach in the last four months from Chryst to the interim HC to now Fickell! They are getting hit hard in portal losses and defections due to the Coaching change, think the LSU team that K State hammered in their bowl game last year!!! That being said, I think this game is a toss up but we have definite advantages right now over them not to mention we have more team speed than they do!!!

Feel like the trenches will get us again. Just don't see us having luck up front on either side. The backend I'm ok with, although Cobb now gone we will see.

The most important position on the field is the field general, so goes him, so goes the team! We will throw the ball 50 plus times and use turbo against them to take advantage of our edge in athleticism!!!

20 more days of no games will restore a lot of the issues we've had on the lines. I'd think our line play will be closer to Baylor than KSU in the Bowl.

Now if we could just get our basketball program to run off a string of wins!!! I miss the days of 2004 and 2005!

Wow lost another O-lineman as well. I remain concerned about this position group and our coaching there.

Losing 3 DB's is also a concern.
