Oklahoma State Really Hits Transfer Portal Bonanza With Commitment From De'Zhaun Stribling
STILLWATER – What a weekend with some very talented high school prospects visiting like Kennedale, Texas linebacker commit Poasa Utu and Adidas All-American center and pledge from Frenship High School in Isaiah Kema. The portal prospects also made up a huge part of the weekend and Tulsa transferring linebacker and commitment Justin Wright was there along with defensive end teammate Anthony Goodlow. So was huge Kent State offensive tackle Savion Washington, Western Michigan running back Sean Tyler, and Washington State wide receiver De’Zhaun Stribling.

Oklahoma State got good news from all of the portal official visitors including a commitment from Stribling. Stribling there along with his father, Carlos, seemed very engaged all through the visit according to Pokes Report sources.
The 6-3, 205-pound Stribling not only looked the part in his warm-up pants and hooded sweat top at the Cowboys bowl practice he attended with his dad and the other prospects on Saturday. he looked like a potential All-American. Stribling has that track athlete body with added muscle.
This past season at Washington State he used a big bowl performance a season ago in the Sun Bowl to build off of and haul in 51 receptions for 602-yards and five touchdowns. He had five receptions for 84-yards and a touchdown against Oregon. He had four receptions for 66-yards and a touchdown against Pac-12 Champion Utah.

A native of Hawaii where he played at Kapolei High School as a senior, he was named to the All-State Second Team by the Honolulu Star-Advertiser after catching 64 passes for 872 yards and nine touchdowns. He scored three touchdowns in one game, one rushing, one receiving and one passing. Stribling was selected to play in the 2020 Polynesian Bowl and named one of the top five offensive standouts with three catches for 58 yards At Kapolei, he also played basketball and competed in the high jump.
Stribling, like all NCAA Transfer Portal players, does not sign any paperwork other than a financial aid agreement, which binds Oklahoma State to providing academic aid and room and board for the transferring player. The player is not bound to the school until either attending a class or practicing with the program. Oklahoma State hopes to have as many of the transfer players as possible to Arizona on the bowl trip to practice, which the NCAA has now made possible again for mid-year transfers.
