STILLWATER – Gabe Jones had one heckuva season for the Dallas White Longhorns. The 6-4, 270-pound defensive lineman had 64 tackles, 47 assists, eight sacks, an interception returned for a touchdown, a forced fumble and 11 quarterback hurries. It was hard for opposing teams to keep Jones off their quarterbacks. As a result, he earned District 6-5A Defensive Player of the Year honors.
