STILLWATER – It was funny, a Saturday night and you would expect a young football standout like Anthony Goodlow to have plans, but when I called shortly after he had posted on social media that he was heading to Oklahoma State he took time to answer a few questions. That was until we were talking about his high school days at Del City playing for head coach Mike Dunn and former Oklahoma State cornerback Robert Jones, who was his defensive coordinator in high school.

You know, we've likely improved our recruiting enough through this portal process so far that we've already offset most of our graduation and portal losses. (I say most as Spencer Sanders is simply hard to replace unless you get a very rare, very experienced transfer....(and we're yet to see if that's the case). And that doesn't consider the incoming freshman class. But now if another OL and DL transfer would come in and we'd catch one of the big TE's, it would be orange tinted glasses time again! IMO.

We need a solid CB, jabbar was really good.

Need to finish with another interior D lineman, big Savion Washington (Come on Pokes with a Purpose, let's get a really good NIL deal here) and another DB, preferably a corner like others have indicated and I guess Armstrong, the QB would be the cherry on top! The freshman QB, Evers from Zero U, committed to Wisconsin on Friday.

that was my initial thought as well, 72, but the more I thought about it, the more I believe we have already improved the team BEYOND last year.

Sure an experienced QB would be nice, but let's not forget that we went 7-5 last year because our QB wasn't available much of the year. I think Gunnar and Rangel could get us to 7-5 with the upgrades we have at the OLine, WR and RB.

and experienced QB could give us the wiggle room to hope for 9-3 or better.
