CHANDLER, Ariz. – It isn’t just all football at the Guranteed Rate Bowl as Friday morning the players met up with a number of youngsters from the Musuclar Dystrophy Association at Main Event amusement center. It is always fun to watch Oklahoma State players have fun with young children. We love to see our players kick it up with the kids at Cowboys vs. Cancer events.

Sounds like two inept offenses providing a snooze fest. If You go by offensive lines being able to block the run game you have to give it to the Badgers.

We'll hope for the best with expectations low because we've seen what we bring to the game offensively. With our apparent turmoil within the team during the year you wonder how many of those types are still suiting up? If we have some you wonder about our give a dang and resolve to win especially with Wisconsin hitting us in the mouth! They want to keep a winning season streak as well as win for the departing Jim Leonhard so I believe they will show up with resolve. The question is will the Cowboys?

It may be a good thing this game doesn't start until 10:30 est.

what turmoil on the team?

I swear you guys.

snooze fest, yes probably, but the Badgers use a 3-4 defense, which could help if we can pick up the blitzes.

Our DLine is pretty good, why should the badgers have any advantage over them?

Their QBs are likely better than ours, which will be huge, and TO's of course, because we're playing so many kids at the skill positions. (QB, Gordon, WRs, etc)

We are 3 point dogs.... I guess we'll see.

I'm not all doom and gloom going in, but that could change quickly if we can't get pressure, and have early TOs.

The Badgers do have a 1,000 yard rusher, so there is that.

I'm anxious to see if Woodward will play and is in any shape.

Wisconsin is not a catch up type of team! If you get ahead of them by 10 to 14 points you put a tremendous amount of pressure on a QB with limited experience! That is why I think we see OSU use turbo if they feel comfortable with Rangel going with the fast paced offensive game plan!

The good thing is that those who may have had that attitude of give up or not give a damn have left through the transfer portal!

One advantage going into this game is (and don't laugh)....coaching.

Gundy has a pretty darn good post-season record.
We've been underdogs to many a team only to come out and play like we've got nothing to lose.

For some reason, Gundy is more creative and fearless in the bowl games.

We have some excited players going tonight. They're getting their chance to step up and play a significant role.

I'm also hoping we can see how our QBs are going to pan out tonight.
I'm not worried about Ollie Gordon -- he's going to be a shining star (as I told California Cowboy at the start of the season and was met with much skepticism as only CC can muster).
But Rangel should give us a real good indication of our QB of the future tonight.
He's had time to work out and play.

I'm thinking Gunnar will see the field eventually.

And I'm thinking Gundy and soon-to-be-former-OC (I hope) Dunn will have nothing to lose and will open the play book. God, I certainly hope so.
The playcalling has sucked for way too long and it's time to say goodbye to Dunn as OC

Another thing to look forward to is after the game.
Gundy hates changing, but perhaps he's got some new coaches that can recruit and coach when it come to our needs.

That's my new year's hope.

GO POKES!!
We win 24-22
I know there are rules, but do we really want to follow them now?

What turmoil on the team? First, a late season collapse. Then, your best offensive and defensive players leave the team.via the portal. Sounds like turmoil to me.

When you have a dozen scholarship players from your two deep quit on your program things aren't great to say the least! Some running their mouth upon leaving which means they were likely running their mouths during the season. That's cancerous and hurts the team and teammates spreading negativity.

LOL, Ostateman, that's funny.

I did not say that Gordon would not be a star, I said he's a true freshman and would not be the answer for this season.

.... and I was correct, of course. (and at the time of our discussion, we had no idea that Jackson would be forced to sit out the first half of the season).

... and frankly, even now, many are anxiously waiting for the W.Mich transfer to see if he could be the answer to our RB woes.
