Could This News Mean Good News for Cowboys on Armstrong

STILLWATER – Oklahoma State is still in the market and bidding (NIL) for former Virginia quarterback Brennan Armstrong. Now, it appears one of the other two contenders for Armstrong may be out of the running because they will have added a second transfer portal quarterback and this one is a veteran.

The Wisconsin Badgers, who beat Oklahoma State on Dec. 27 in the Guaranteed Rate Bowl 24-17, added former OU quarterback in freshman Nick Evers. Now, ESPN is reporting from its sources that SMU quarterback Tanner Mordecai is heading to Wisconsin. 

The 6-3, 214-pound Mordecai had 7,152 passing yards with 72 touchdowns and 22 interceptions the past two seasons for SMU, setting a team record with 13 games of 300 passing yards or more. He began his career at Oklahoma, spending three seasons as a backup before transferring to SMU. His reported heading to Wisconsin was first reported by Adam Rittenberg from ESPN.

Oklahoma State and North Carolina State are still reportedly pursuing Armstrong. Our sources report that Oklahoma State has had productive conversations with both Armstrong and his representative. 

Armstrong had that one fabulous season in 2021 with 326-of-500 for 4,449-yards and 31 touchdowns and 10 interceptions.  His career has been solid, and his dual threat style would be a great fit for Oklahoma State.

Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha, the only s**t show I saw today was a crimson and cream defense in the Cheez IT Bowl,, although Texas looks like they are also in the running for s**t shows tonight as well! I said I was going to give Kenyatta Wright a check for 2023, I guess I better get it to him in the next couple of days LOL!

He ain't that good. I'd rather try to develop Rangel than having this guy for one season. It's gonna get ugly in Stilly unless some coaching changes are made and I'm not pointing the finger at Kasey Dunn like most oSu fans/alums.

How do any of you know whether or not "pokes with a purpose" has sufficient funds to make a very, very competitive offer?? I submit you have NO clue. So, here is my baseless conjecture, which is just as valid as your hare brained offering.....our NIL managers have nearly bottomless pockets and are putting together an irresistible offer that will be joyfully
accepted in a few scant days. Some of you guys are so flooded with venom infused testosterone that you don't even make sense.

Listen you can laugh all you want. Again, not a Sooner fan by any means. But, that staff just put 3 TF on the offensive line and went toe to toe with a top 15 team in the country. Meanwhile we got spanked and didn't know how to draw a play and lost to Wisconsin and made their Offense look like '19 LSU team.

Maybe they should have put those true freshman on the defensive side of the ball!!!!!!!!!! LOL
