Watch: Mike Boynton Discusses Upcoming Matchup With No. 6 Texas

STILLWATER – Oklahoma State head coach Mike Boynton met with the media on Thursday morning to discuss the upcoming matchup against No. 6 Texas in Stillwater on Saturday, Jan. 7.

Tipoff is scheduled for 11 a.m. CT and will be televised on ESPNU.

The Cowboys are fresh off a 67-60 win over West Virginia on Monday, a bounce back from the 69-67 loss to No. 4 Kansas in the Big 12 opener.

Guard Bryce Thompson led the way for the Pokes in scoring with 15 points on 5-of-14 shooting. He was joined by Avery Anderson III (13), John-Michael Wright (11) and Kalib Boone (10) in double figures.

As for the Longhorns, they’re coming off a 116-103 loss to Kansas State at home. Tyrese Hunter dropped an impressive 29 points on 8-of-16 shooting from the field, including 5-of-9 from 3-point range. Marcus Carr dropped 27 points on 10-of-17 shooting, while Sir’Jabari Rice dropped 16 points off the bench.
