Texas Prep and Oklahoma Prep Receivers Visiting Oklahoma State This Weekend

STILLWATER – Oklahoma State, like virtually every school in Division I football, will be busy this weekend with official visitors in recruiting, some of the high school/junior college variety and many out of the NCAA transfer portal. Two of the prep prospects visiting the Pokes are wide receivers that were somewhat unsung in recruiting but posted big numbers and helped their teams to special seasons. Enid, Okla.

With the loss of the RB from Western Michigan, maybe the staff ought to find some help in that direction... No doubt that is what they are doing.

That is what is occurring this weekend! They have as many as five portal players coming in! I am glad the offered the receiver from Enid and the kid from Aledo is a big time athlete as Robert alluded to!

Yes,it looks like it could be that many along with the two high schoolers! The ones who want to be part of Spring Practice have to make their decisions fairly quickly as I believe the portal closes on January 18 and many Universities start their new Spring Semester either this week or next unless they are on a trimester type system!

He doesnt have much choice really. He has no film to give coaches. I fear he is likely to leave next year or the following if he has production.

Odd that Bryson didnt go to Auburn since that was his "dream school."

if we don't find the "right" player for specific positions, then I wouldn't mind them waiting until the May Portal window and see if a promising player emerges then.

We can take players from the portal at any time, but they cannot join the team after enrollment is closed, so they'd have to wait until Summer session to join the team.
