New Oklahoma State Cowboys Added for Spring Semester

STILLWATER – There is always the chance that another player could be added late, but as of Tuesday morning, Jan. 17, and the first day of classes for the spring semester, here is the list of players we have joining the Oklahoma State program. The last commitment came last night in California University of Pa. tight end Ian Edenfield.

WOW 22 new players for Spring, and the rest coming this Summer? Just WOW.

That makes it about 1/3 of the entire roster that will be new, not counting the guys that we redshirted last year that have never played.

(okay, I get it that some of these kids have played elsewhere, but they're new to our plays, alignments and schemes)

Even if he does sign, because he's a transfer, it won't matter until he shows up on campus.

Portal closes sometime in the next 10 days, It won't open back up until late April or May after Spring Practice period! Nobody can really do anything after next week because most schools have begun Spring Semester this week!

correct, but the Portal window is only for ENTERING the portal.

Players can be taken from the portal at anytime, although, as you said, they must be enrolled to be able to participate with the team.

For Spring, let's just hope we have enough OL to fully implement the new blocking schemes AND to go 11 v 11 with expected contributors AND without fear of losing players to injury.

I did Consider that. That would explain a good portion of lower extremity injuries.

There are rumors about extra practices for specific groups. I know rumors, but when I played this was a "thing"

I am really into nutrition and bodybuilding and to me, it looks like we lack recovery? There are certain techniques that are outdated in the S&C world that are still used today. Glass is top notch, but even top-notch coaches lack adaption as they tend to go with what works.

I will Tell you the 1 year I had under Glass, was far and away better than my previous 4 years. Gary Calcagno was amazing in his efforts, but Glass just took it a step further.
