STILLWATER – The dust has settled some and as some of the late arriving transfer portal additions like quarterback Alan Bowman (Monday), running back Elijah Collins (late last week), and tight end Ian Edenfield (Saturday) arrive into Stillwater we can take a look at what the future will hold for this spring and spring football. W will start our series with the offense and what is just as interesting here as the names is the way the positions on the depth chart line up.

Yup, Springfield and Michalski the only two that from last season, unless you count Brooks who started the last three games and probably graded out the best among the o line, as starters! Notice Robert is also high on the two freshman from this past season in Kawecki and Dotson! Some felt both should have seen playing time last season plus the tight end position is BACK!

like he said.... way too early.

we don't even know the roster yet.

Is Wilson out, supposedly he was playing on two bum ankles. and Birmingham should be good

Thanks Robert. Was thinking about the depth chart the other night and was going to ask y'all to give us your thoughts. I've wondered about Nixon in the slot. He is a nifty receiver and it would give him some space in which to run! Great job

Springfield and Michalski are not P5 starters. If we don't have anyone to beat them out, we are in for another long year.

They're good depth pieces, but they aren't going to make some huge leap. We know what they are at this point, no?

Get ready to have Robert SLAM YOU pretty hard on his show Monday morning!!! Not criticizing or disagreeing with your take but this is the voice of experience as I have been slammed pretty good a couple of times if he disagreed with my point especially concerning who should start at a position!

Not slamming anybody, but go back and watch the video. Brooks graded out the highest and was mostly effective. Michalski was solid. A lot of the time he might have looked bad because late in the season Miterko and Etienne were getting beat badly. In the Bedlam game Wilson was lit up throughout. You just have to watch the video and it tells you all you need to know.

Springfield is not pretty nor is he dominating, but he gets his man blocked a high percentage of the time. I'd love for all of the offensive line to dominate but after this season I will take plus plays. Those are plays where you followed your assignment and the man you were supposed to block was not able to impact the play.

Your son spoke well of the Polynesian youngster out of Norman, the PWO named Villami Makahununlu and Evan Bax out of Georgia, who I hope didn't leave through the portal but stayed in Stillwater!!!

I'd prefer growth. Also, was Wilson not the walking wounded late? I've seen healthy Wilson be solid. What I'd like to see is the following:

Cooper Brooks Kawecki Wilson Birmingham

Let the talented pup grow at center. I think Birmingham is talented enough to thrive anywhere.

Healthy Wilson >> Michalski. I really wish they had brought in an interior P5 or G5 portal guy.

Thank you for the Jaden Bray mention. We're excited to have him fully recovered, stronger, & even more passionate about a sport he loves.

Interesting IMO to see where Robert guesstimates the top 2 lineman at each position come from this upcoming year. Of the top 10 players (if I counted correctly), 6 or 7 (depending on how you view Brooks), will be folks who didn't contribute much if any at all in '22. That also includes 2 or 3 starters (again depending on how you count Brooks). Probably good news since we obviously need changes/upgrades on the O-line.

I expect stribling and bray will be on the field together a lot. Get your best players on the field and those are 2 of them. Stribling didn't come here to be a backup!

Bray hasn't had much luck with his health, so there's that.

After all the doom and gloom about the WR room (not from me but from many in local media and social media) seeing what is still there on paper gets me excited. Bray and Green returning is huge.

I think Bruce and Stribling could be upgrades over Twin 2 and JPr **knocks on all the wood** Let's Ride!

I thought JPR might end up an NFL slot. He's very good.

That is honestly crazy you have Caleb E. at third string after starting ALL 13 games. And yes I agree he has alot of work to do and needs to improve but let's be realistic.Gundy rewards tenure and availability he's got both hard to believe he falls that hard. When has a starter ever fallen to third string. If he was that bad last year he would not have started every single game. Not saying that Cooper isn't the better option and likely will beat him out of that spot but to say he's third string is a bit of stretch.

You also don't sign Cooper up, give him an NIL to sit on the bench.

Spot on, Caleb E was given a chance to solidify the spot this past year! By the way CC, these folks need to know that you and your teammates on the O line in 2001 and 2002 bagged a couple of nice scalps in 01 (16 - 13) and in 02 (38 - 28) and yes Rashaun is still open!!!
