STILLWATER – That cover picture is old, from last spring, but it is accurate again as all three of those quarterbacks standing behind Gundy are part of the Cowboys, and they have company as the quarterback position and the quarterback room in the West End Zone has a different roll call.

Spencer Sanders is gone, the Cowboys starting quarterback for most of the past four-years is at Ole Miss.

QB room is not the issue. No QB can function at a high level with the O Lines we've had of late. Need that fixed .

Injuries and an associated lack of depth along with a LT that wasn't ready for prime time kept the OL from being improved last year. Those problems appear likely to be answered for '23, although it may involve a completely different answer at LT 1st and 2nd string.

With all due respect, QB is an issue. As in we don't have a top flight QB. Compounded by a bad OL and no run game. Doesn't bode well. A lot of improvement will have to occur. On both sides of the ball.

You don't think Bowman is experienced enough to be successful in Big 12 games?

I think it's a huge unknown. He hasn't played a meaningful snap in at least 2 years. Without a run game, none of the QB's will be effective.

As usual, I'll believe the offensive line is better when I actually see it produce. We need good health even if we managed to recruit someone that can actually play well there because we've seen what the others produce and consistency is lacking among those guys.

Which QB do you want?

A) 306YPG, 67%, 1.9 TDPG, 1.0 IntPG
B) 233YPG, 62%, 1.6 TDPG, 1.0 IntPG

I want the one who played significant snaps last year against P5 competition.

That's just a bizarre criteria unless you mean like Hunter Dekkers (ISU) that went 2-8 vs P5 competition? Or Tanner McKee (Stan) that went 2-9 vs P5 competition? Or Ryan Hilinski (NW) that went 1-7 vs P5 completion? Or Grant Wells (VT) that went 1-8 vs P5 completion?

Me thinks you're just randomly searching for reasons to be pessimistic, or simply complain.

Frankly, I don't care what you think. We don't have a proven QB, period.

We just have a veteran QB with 17 complete games, 5 spring camps, 6 fall camps and better per game stats than our starting QB the last 4 years. But alas, you can find a reason to complain. Makes sense. SMH.

LOL. Gumby suffering from "shiny new guy" syndrome.

Maybe Bowman wins the job, maybe he doesn't.

Who other than Bowman will get enough snaps to show enough to win the job?

I keep telling you Gumby, no using logic around here, it's not allowed! We haven't even gone through the Spring Practice workouts and yet people KNOW who will be good and who won't! ROTHFLMAO!
