- John-Michael Wright scored the Cowboys’ first basket of the night with a mid-range jumper.
- Oklahoma State made three of its first five field goals, but two three from Texas Tech gave them a 13-8 lead going into the first media timeout.
- Back-to-back Bryce Thompson threes gave OSU its first lead of the game, 14-13, with 13:33 left in the first half.
- The Cowboys used a 16-2 run to extend the lead to 22-15 behind Bryce Thompson’s early 12 points.
- Bryce Thompson took over during the middle stretch of the first half, scoring nine-straight points for the Cowboys to take a 36-30 lead with 2:17 remaining in the half.
- The Cowboys took a 36-34 lead into the locker room behind 21 first-half points from Bryce Thompson.

Game Notes
- Head coach Mike Boynton went with Caleb Asberry, Bryce Thompson, John-Michael Wright, Kalib Boone and Woody Newton as the starting-five for the second-straight game. The Cowboys are 6-1 since inserting Newton as a starter.
- John-Michael Wright’s last-second and-1 was the Cowboys’ first final second game-winning shot since Feb. 6, 2013, when Markel Brown made a layup with .2 seconds remaining against Baylor in OT. It’s the first game-winning shot since Avery Anderson III’s pull-up three with 3.5 seconds remaining against Kansas State on Feb. 19, 2022, in OT.
- Bryce Thompson went off against the Red Raiders, scoring 21 points, his second 20-point performance of the season. Thompson made his first nine shots of the game, including three three pointers.
- Thompson scored 21 first-half points, the most in a half by a Cowboy since Avery Anderson III scored 23 in the second half against Iowa State on Jan. 26, 2022.
- Quion Williams made his biggest impact since conference play started, scoring 10 points, his most since Nov. 27 when he scored 11 against Prairie View.
- Kalib Boone continues to dominate the paint on both sides of the floor, scoring seven points while grabbing nine rebounds and dishing out two assists.
- Boone continues to be the Cowboys’ all-time leader in field goal percentage in a career at 60.2 percent. At his current pace, Boone will become the first Cowboy to surpass the 60 percent mark in two different seasons.
- OSU has found success on the offensive end lately, scoring 30 or more points in 10 of its last 11 halves of basketball.
- As a team, the Cowboys have reached at least three blocks in 23 of 24 games this season. OSU leads the Big 12 with 5.4 blocked shots per game, which ranks 13th in the country.
