STILLWATER – Oklahoma State just landed its third commitment in the 2024 class in Longview (TX) HS corner, Willie Nelson.

Nelson took to Twitter on Friday afternoon to make the announcement.

Nelson checks in at 5-10, 170 pounds and currently holds offers from Colorado, Incarnate Word, Oklahoma, SMU and UTSA among others.

This past season as a junior, Nelson helped the Lobos to an 11-4 overall record, a perfect 7-0 in 5A-1 district play and a semifinal berth in the 5A state playoffs, where they ended up losing to Aledo, who went on to win the state title. On the season, Nelson recorded 80 total tackles, including two tackles for loss, seven pass break ups and five interceptions, one of which he returned for a touchdown.

As a sophomore, Nelson recorded 76 total tackle, eight interceptions, two of which were returned for touchdowns, and seven pass break ups.

This marks the first defensive commitment of the class. The two offensive commitments are running back Rodney Fields out of Oklahoma City (OK) Southeast and Stillwater (OK) HS tight end, Josh Ford.
