STILLWATER – This week was the first for the Oklahoma State Cowboys football team to be full blown with team activities. The squad at approximately 116 players for offseason training and eventually spring football has great numbers and because there are so many young players, new players including 13 transfers and six new freshmen plus five preferred walk-ons there is much to be learned.

I take the report on Nardo's demeanor as a great positive - all business and focused on teaching the defense to the back end players. My gut tells me that Nardo is going to surprise people with what he brings to the Pokes, maybe even quiet the vocal detractors / whiners. I am also very encouraged with the change in offseason routine from the competition days to learning days, believe this should be a catalyst in bringing improvement to both offense and defense. Go Pokes!

why in the heck would anybody be reporting on his demeanor in the first place? it came across mostly as journalists whining. "he didn't even try to remember me, he's focused on only the work part of his job".... SMH

It sounds like Gundy is taking the approach needed to get the new information to all the new faces as quickly as he can before the short Spring Practice session starts.

Good grief...Why would anybody complain about WHATEVER is reported from the staff of this website...? For me, reading about ANY observation is helpful to understand the aspects & nuances of the program.

no offense intended, it just seemed like a very strange statement to make

I'm not sure how "he didn't pay attention to us reporters as people" is insightful to understanding the program, but I understand your point.

the focus should be on understanding the program and what he's adding or what he's learning, etc. I agree with you, all information is helpful at this point.
