STILLWATER – Oklahoma State (16-11 overall, 7-7 Big 12) has a chance to bounce back from a rough outing on Saturday against TCU as the Pokes will travel up to Morgantown for the second of two games against West Virginia (15-12 overall, 4-10 Big 12).

Tipoff is scheduled for 6 p.m. CT on ESPN2.

The Cowboys are coming off a disappointing 100-75 loss to TCU this past weekend. Bryce Thompson and John-Michael Wright led the way in scoring with 18 points and 15 points respectively. The Pokes were outrebounded 33-21 and were outscored in the paint 50-20.

As for the Mountaineers, they’re coming off a 78-72 home loss to Texas Tech. Erik Stevenson and Kedria Johnson led the way in scoring with 27 points and 20 points respectively. No one else on the team scored more than five points, with there being seven players in single digits.

As a team in Big 12 play, the Mountaineers are fifth in the conference in scoring with 76.3 points a game on 45% shooting from the field. On the other side of things, WVU is holding opponents to 70.8 points per game on 44% shooting.

Stevenson is leading the way with 14.3 points per game in conference play, with Tre Mitchell next on the stat sheet with 11.0 points per game. Mitchell is also second on the team in rebounding with 5.4 per game. Jimmy Bell Jr. is leading the way with 5.5 boards.

On the season, the Mountaineers are averaging 76.3 points per game on 45% shooting from the field. Stevenson has started 27 of 27 games this season for WVU, averaging 14.3 points on 43% shooting from the field. He’s also averaging 38% from 3-point range.

While this isn’t an easy game by any stretch, this is a good opportunity for the Pokes to pick up their eighth win in Big 12 play to try and solidify a berth in the NCAA tournament. Nine wins will definitely get them in, but it’s going to be a tough stretch of games to finish the season. Doable, but tough.

tough, tough, tough road game.... especially without Anderson to guard Stevenson.

I'm not sure what it will take for us to win this one, which is probably our best chance to get a win in our final 4 games.

Control the paint? Hit our treys? Block party? Defense leading to fast break points?

Bryce has to stay out of foul trouble, because there is an obvious drop off when we must replace him with Harris.

What has happened to Boone and to a lessor extent, Thompson? The team seems to have regressed without Anderson.
