STILLWATER – This will be the most unique and interesting spring practice in the history of Oklahoma State football. Head coach Mike Gundy has plenty of players, close to 120 by our calculations with walk-ons. The interesting part is there are close to 30 new faces or returning faces when you factor in former and now returned back-up and scout team quarterback Peyton Thompson.

" You can tell he is working off the rust, but he is a good leader that teammates already are excited about." About Bowman, does not incite confidence, maybe it's just me. I thought being 5th year senior, I would not expect him to have rust.

getting the rust off seems much much preferred to getting the immaturity off (as in our other QBs)

does anybody know if it's easier to work off rust or green?

Robert, when you get to OL, it would be interesting to see a bit more of your real view of current worthiness of some of these players and their future potential if you have such thoughts and/or insights. IMO, OL was probably the area of most important deficiency last year and is the telltale/focus unit for any significant improvement in '23 for our rb's, qb's, wr's and even the ability for our Defense to not be continually in a pressure cooker!

QB Rangel has an excellent HS foundation off which to develop. Not sure how much developing he himself needs or if it's OLine development - perhaps both.

Search on Ragusa Garret Rangel film study if you want to see a good analysis of the yungin'...

Yup. It all hinges on the OL. If OL is good it looks like we have an entire roster of 4* RB's, 4* WR's and a 5* QB.

I think we have two franchise quality QB's on the roster in Rangel and Flores, but will need a serviceable OL to keep them upright. Both appear athletic enough to escape most pressures.

The Portal newcomers look like as many upgrades as pushes.

got cha....... Sanders was a good QB, but Rangel had a bad OLine... We won games with Sanders in the game, but lost games with the other QBs (and essentially the same OLine). For crying out loud.

Potential will get you a meeting with a recruiter, it won't get you even one win.

I'm hoping, believe me, I down on my knees hoping... but I'm done with the excuses. The OLine was good when Warren was in (prior year), but not when the other RBs were in.... CHECK!
