STILLWATER – Oklahoma State just landed its second 2024 commitment out of Texarkana (TX) Pleasant Grove, this time coming from the offensive side of the ball. Caleb Hackleman took to Twitter to make the announcement official.

He chose Oklahoma State over offers from Baylor, Memphis and Texas Tech among others.

Hackleman checks in at 6-6, 276 pounds and is teammates with OSU linebacker commitment, Jaylen Boardley. In fact, Hackleman was one of the main blockers for Boardley this past year during their junior seasons as Boardley rushed for 625 yards and eight touchdowns.

Hackleman just finished his official visit, as did Boardley, who committed to the Cowboys late Friday evening. This isn’t the first time Hackleman’s been in Stillwater as he’s taken unofficial visits as well.

“I was looking to make my decision on my official visit this weekend,” Hackleman told us on Sunday morning after he departed. “”This weekend was great I got to go off and fire shotguns with the offensive linemen. I’m an outdoorsman, hunting, fishing, and so are a lot of these guys. Stillwater is a smaller town, but you get to play big-time football.”

This is a good get for Charlie Dickey and his offensive line staff. Hackleman is a road grader offensive lineman, as you can see in several of Boardley’s run highlights as well. But his style of play also translates to be a good pass protector as well.

His parents were with him on the visit and Hackleman said they were impressed as well.

“They enjoyed it, really enjoyed talking to the coaches and their families,” Hackleman said. “The hospitality blew them away. The food was great, I mean they fed us well.”

That is always a big plus with the guys on the line of scrimmage.

Hackleman said he played basketball up until this past school year. It shows in his athletic ability and the way he moves. His strength shows up to and he let us know that he is competing in the area track meet this next week in shot put and discus.

Hackleman marks the sixth overall commitment in the 2024 class for the Cowboys, third on the offensive side of the ball. He joins Oklahoma City (OK) Southeast running back Rodney Fields and Stillwater (OK) HS tight end, Josh Ford. On the defensive side of the ball, the Cowboys have Longview (TX) HS CB Willie Nelson, Choctaw (OK) HS LB Will Smith and now Texarkana (TX) Pleasant Grove HS LB Jaylen Boardley.
