STILLWATER – Oklahoma State basketball had a visitor on Stillwater over the weekend, Tulsa transfer Bryant Selebangue.

Selebangue checks in at 6-8, 227 pounds, and is fresh off his sophomore season. He’s originally out of Montreal, Quebec, but played his HS ball at Rise Prep at TRC Academy and started his college career at Florida SouthWestern CC.

He started 30 of 30 games this past season and averaged 12 points on nearly 62% shooting from the field and 9.2 rebounds per game. He finished with eight points and five rebounds in an 82-56 loss to Oklahoma State this past season.

In games against new Big 12 teams, Selenbangue led the team in scoring with 13 points against Houston, eight points against Cincinnati and six points in a second loss to Houston, 11 points and 12 points in two games against UCF.

With the departures of Tyreek Smith, Moussa Cisse and Kalib Boone, being able to land Selebangue would be a solid addition for Boynton and Co.

Ahead of the weekend, guard Chris Harris II entered the transfer portal. He’s had a rough go of things since arriving in Stillwater having torn the same ACL three times, the most recent happening against OU in the Big 12 tournament.

Former Cowboy Woody Newton announced he’s committed to George Mason, a school close to where he grew up in Maryland.
