STILLWATER – We all know what happened in the second half of the 2022 football season. Frankly, I’m tired of reliving it. However, if you don’t totally exhaust examining, recognizing, and working to solve your problems then you are destined to repeat them. Injuries on offense were part of the issues, at quarterback, at running back, and on the offensive line.

I heard a guy who watched a lot of ball this spring practice say Alan Bowman looks like he will light people up. Pokes Report and Locked Down made it sound more even at qb. IF the guy was right/legit, we may have the best arm coming up this year that we've seen besides Weeden. That would likely make our running backs effective!

If he can just throw to the middle of the field it will open up our offense exponentially.

Yeah. Weeden was great at hitting the guy over the middle. He would take one step back and let it fly, dinking and dunking right down the field 3, 4, 5 yards at at time.

I think we'll see much more of that this year with both the backs releasing over the middle, and the TEs with a short block and release over the middle. I think it will depend a lot on if the OLine can hold long enough for the slots to clear out, or run a bit deeper route.
