Oklahoma State Offers 2024 Midlothian (TX) Heritage Linebacker
STILLWATER – The search to complete the 2024 class continues as the Oklahoma State football staff extended an offer to Midlothian (TX) Heritage linebacker, Temerrick Johnson, last week.
Johnson checks in at 6-4, 205 pounds and currently holds offers from Boise State, Cal, Houston, Kansas, Nebraska and UTSA, as well as Air Force and Army.
This past season as a junior, Johnson played as an edge rusher, recording 32 total tackles, six tackles for loss and a team-high 3.5 sacks, as well as nine quarterback hurries and a fumble recovery in just eight games played.
Heritage finished the season 11-2 losing in overtime in the regional finals to eventual champion South Oak Cliff 33-27. They finished a perfect 7-0 in district play.
As a sophomore, Johnson recorded an impressive 45 total tackles, six tackles for loss and 2.5 sacks.
In the offseason he attended the Next Level football combine in the DFW Metroplex and won the award for top linebacker prospect and performer.
His frame, speed and strength makes him ideal for Joe Bob Clements’ hybrid backer spot, both off the edge and somewhere standing in the box.
The Cowboys have also recently jumped in on Melissa athlete/linebacker, Gunnar Wilson, who you can read about in this exclusive article here.
