Oklahoma State Makes the Cut for 2024 Texas Edge Rusher Edward Smith
STILLWATER – Oklahoma State has made the cut for an edge rusher out of Pearland, TX, in the 2024 class, Edward Smith.
Smith checks in at 6-6, 250 pounds and currently holds more than 20 offers, the top seven schools of Oklahoma State, Houston, Kansas, Oregon, Purdue, TCU and Texas Tech, as well as Baylor, Colorado, Indiana, Kansas State, Nebraska, Oregon State and SMU among others.
This past season as a junior, Smith recorded 22 total tackles, 17 of which were solo stops, but he led the team in tackles for loss with 8.0, quarterback hurries with eight and tied with 2.0 sacks. He also had one forced fumble. According to the Dawson MaxPreps page, Smith played in just seven games this past season.
Smith currently has just two official visits scheduled and that’s to Texas Tech on June 9 and Oklahoma State on June 15.
He’s currently ranked as the No. 467th overall prospect in the 2024 class, the No. 34th edge rusher in the country and the No. 79th overall prospect out of Texas according to the 247Sports composite rankings.
