isn't this like the dumbest idea ever?

I get it when "PRO" leagues do this, because they can actually extend their brand there... but it does not work that way for college programs.

Remember all the great benefits we got from playing in Japan in Barry's last game? but that was sponsored by Mitsubishi and later by Coke to push their brand names.... not the NCAA (or B12 in this case)

It worked so well that the Mirage Bowl continues to this date... oh, wait. But at least it spawned many, many more endeavors to play college games in foreign lands to great fanfare.... oh, wait.

What in the heck? IF, he can get a great corporate sponsor to dump millions of dollars into the conference, it might be worthwhile... but we'll have to give up a game (somebody's home game) to do this.

The "Cartel Bowl", bring your own flack vests! If you live, you get discount tickets to next year's event!

Maybe we can get the Cartel's into a bidding war (bad choice of words) over the naming rights!
