NEWARK, N.J. – Oklahoma State wrestler Daton Fix earned the No. 3 spot at 61 kg on the United States Senior National Team with a 9-0 shutout victory over Austin DeSanto in the true third-place match Saturday.

Fix was in control from the start, holding a 3-0 lead after the first period and tacking on six more points in the second to take the match. The win marks Fix's first over DeSanto in freestyle in addition to his three previous victories on the collegiate level.

With the win, Fix will receive benefits that include access to international tours and National Team training camps as a member of the Senior National Team.

At 79 kg, former Cowboy Alex Dieringer also took his match against David McFadden by VPO1 2-2 for the third spot on the Senior National Team.
