the timing is very interesting.... if we're able to get him to commit relatively quickly, then I think we're good... the longer a decision drags on, the more likely that the Pac12 options may come into play, which are all closer to home.

One would think that Utah, Colorado and SDSU all become much more attractive to him if a Pac12 conf media deal gets announced in the next few weeks.

One of 8 kids with a 1-year old sibling, the folks likely won't be able to see him play much, which could weigh heavily on a decision.

With 8 kids its likely the way they would see him most of the time is via TV. pac-12 isn't the answer for tv. But, going that far away from home isn't for everyone. Plus, does he have a mission to go on?

I just went searching and could not find anything about him being Mormon. He is Polynesian though.

It seems his parents/family live in Sacramento, but he transferred to the SF Bay area (San Mateo) and plays at Junipero Serra, because he has family/cousins in that area.

Here is a pretty cool article about the game last year where Serra beat Concord De La Salle, to take over #1 in the State.

I believe Utah picked up a commitment from the younger brother of former BYU QB Wilson who is with the Jett's in the NFL!

There are other schools on the left coast that are interested. But, hoping distance isn't an issue here.

Isaac Wilson committed to Utah, not BYU. Though, BYU does have one commit who committed on June 11.
