Tim Duffie Likes His Cornerbacks Room for 2023 Season

STILLWATER – This offseason heading into season number 11 for Tim Duffie at Oklahoma State has more of the same and some changes as well. Duffie is still coaching the cornerbacks for Oklahoma State, but he takes on a new title of defensive passing game coordinator. He and a veteran defensive staff with Joe Bob Clements in his 11th season, Dan Hammerschmidt in his ninth, and former Cowboys player Greg Richmond in his seventh welcome a new defensive coordinator in Bryan Nardo.

That seems like an odd statement to make considering Jabbar was 6th on the team in total tackles and had almost twice as many as Black.

Most of the time Black is his own opponent. There are times he gives his everything, and then there are times he just gives up very easily. It's good to have competition so he knows he can't take it easy.

It would be pretty great if Korie is not one of our starting CB. Means there are other CB who are better than Black, and when we lost black this year, we don't have to worry much.

Suspect Duffie and Nardo will sort out what's what and who's who. They probably have the vantage point and experience to do so better than fans.

Good stuff, thanks for the update. It is going to be fun to watch what Coach Nardo brings to the defensive side of the ball this year.

Duffie being a top recruiter for us and now being passing game coordinator should mean great things for the secondary in general in the coming years. Hammer and duffie and now nardo are gonna have our secondary top tier soon. The secondary is an area of the team fans should be excited for in the immediate and long term future
