STILLWATER – Close to 20-years ago Bruce Feldman, current writer for The Athletic and FOX Sports college football sidelines reporter, started a story at the beginning of the season on the freaks of college football. Not monsters of weird players, but the players that are physically exceptional, superior, the best athletes in college football.

In Twitter video pinned to profile, Kirkland benches 225 40 times. Does it mean he became weaker after coming here? I don't think so, just curious.

Everyone has good days and bad days... I imagine a lot of people wish their bad day on the bench test was 34 reps. These were the top results at this year's NFL Combine. There is a familiar face on this list.

There is a difference too with who is conducting the test as some will let shorter reps count. Others, like Rob Glass make you get the bar nearly full extension to count. At the NFL Combine they are very strict, so if you do big numbers at the Combine or a Pro Day with NFL scouts watching that is really legit. Malcolm Rodriguez' 36 on his Pro Day was legit.
