STILLWATER – This is pretty simple. These two teams badly need to win this football game. Iowa State has a trip to Norman to play OU next week and Oklahoma State has an open week before the Friday game Oct. 6 with Kansas State. In case you’ve never experienced it, a loss going into a bye week is one of the worst experiences that a football coach and/or player can have. You have to wait two weeks, a double cycle before a chance comes to get the ugly taste out of your system.

Well Robert definitely picked against the conventional wisdom in two of the contests picking the upset in Central Florida over Kansas State and West Virginia over Texas Tech!!! Baylor and Texas Tech, who,I personally thought would be much improved with Tech actually being a dark horse for the conference title, could both be looking at 1-3 starts after this weekend which gives you NO ROOM FOR ERROR AS ANOTHER FOUR LOSSES KEEPS YOU OUT OF A BOWL GAME!!! I just hope the Cowboys pull out a win even if by just one point!!!

I appreciate the effort put into this write-up but it's all a moot point as long as the offensive line is what it is. I don't see them improving much this season.

Pokes win 16-13 and after the game everyone talks about how they've righted the ship. Actually, I'd be happy if the Pokes win 2-0!

I like the UCF over KSU pick...I think Cincy is going down hard tho...Have no idea what to expect from WVU-Tech game.

I agree! The o-line has had FIVE years to improve!!! What would make any of us think they'll get better over the next two months?
