STILLWATER – During the open week we will be updating football recruiting ranging from 2024 commitments to 2024 targets and then targets/offers in the 2025 class as well.

Starting here with Waco Connally High School as the Cadets are a very talented team and 3-2. Oklahoma State has made it a priority to try to end up with starting cornerback Korie Black’s younger brother Kobe.

@robert Allen - is there any truth to the Okoye rumors? Everyone saying we offered and then didn't talk to him again.

Anyone else hear this? Also he grew up a pokes fan, allegedly.

He addressed this last Friday on his radio show and even talked to Todd Bradford about this! I will contact him and see if he will write an article on this subject for the web site basically providing the information that he presented on the radio show!

No truth. Okoye was offered early by Oklahoma State and attended two of their camps and was recruited hard by coaches and at camps the players paid particular attention to Okoye. He visited unofficially to games and was paid special attention. He was called when rules allowed and then when he got several big offers, Alabama, LSU, Texas, OU,etc. he quit talking to Oklahoma State. Oklahoma State at one point thought he would commit to Oklahoma State.OSU quit recruting him when he quit paying attention to them.

Good stuff, thanks for the update on the guys. It is good to hear that they are doing well. Jaylen has been playing lights out. In the last game, a pass was intercepted by Paris and the guy was running it back along the sidelines. Jaylen hit him so hard that it windmilled the guy.

Thanks RA. So the kid just lied to the Tulsa World? Or Did he get those big offers and we backed off? I know what your answer is but it's pretty wild that the kid would claim that. In print.

I don't understand it. I communicated with him a lot until late last fall. He was close to committing to Oklahoma State. The OSU staff kept pushing until it was obvious he wasn't interested. When I contacted Todd Bradford for a response on his quote in the Tulsa World, I knew the answer I would get.
