FORT WORTH, Texas – Oklahoma State's five-game winning streak came to an end Sunday with a 1-0 loss to TCU at Garvey-Rosenthal Stadium. With the loss, the Cowgirls fell to 11-3-0 overall and 4-0-1 in Big 12 play, while TCU is 8-3-2 and also 4-0-1 in the league.

TCU tallied the match's only score in the 17th minute when AJ Hennessey delivered her third goal of the season, sending a 22-yard shot top shelf to the near post. It was a near impossible shot to save for the Cowgirls stellar keeper Grace Gordon.

The Cowgirls' top scoring opportunities came late as they battled for the equalizer. Logan Heausler sent  a shot from near the endline just over the crossbar in the 80th minute, and Megan Haines delivered a shot in the 82nd minute that was saved.

Physicality in the match caught on film.

It was a very physical match between two teams that have tradition of playing that way. Statistically, the match was even, with OSU outshooting the Frogs by a 9-8 margin and owning a 3-2 advantage on corner kicks. The Cowgirls entered the match fourth nationally in scoring but were shutout for only the second time this season. TCU had the edge in fouls, but not by much 14-12. Like we wrote above, a physical contest.Grace

Gordon finished with three saves for the Cowgirls, while TCU's Lauren Kellett had two.

OSU returns to action this week with a pair of road matches, taking on Cincinnati on Thursday before a Sunday showdown with West Virginia.
