Oklahoma State-Kansas Has a 2:30 p.m. Start on Oct. 14
STILLWATER – The Big 12’s television partners had their usual Monday draw of television assignments and kickoff times for the Oct. 14 weekend. Already locked in on that weekend was the West Virginia at Houston game on Thursday, Oct. 12 with a 6 p.m. kickoff on FS1. Oklahoma State will host Kansas on Saturday at 2:30 p.m. and that game will also be televised on FS1. In fact, there are four games that weekend on FS1 as Iowa State at Cincinnati will lead the day off at 11 a.m. on FS1.
Oklahoma State has the middle of the tripleheader from the Big 12 with Kansas State at Texas Tech going at 6 p.m. for the final leg of the three games. BYU at TCU is also at 2:30 and will be televised by ESPN. The money is all the same in the contract, but I wonder if there is any concern in the Big 12 Conference offices and from commissioner Brett Yormark over so few games this season on ABC and FOX as Colorado and the soon tobe extinct Pac-12 has hogged FOX and their Big Noon Kickoff. Considering Colorado is headed to the Big 12 then that is likely a good thing to Yormark.
Kansas fell to 4-1 this weekend as without starting quarterback Jalon Daniels the Jayhawks lost to Texas 40-14 and fell out of the Top 25 polls. Last season Oklahoma State lost at Kansas 37-16. Garret Rangel started at quarterback for Oklahoma State, his first collegiate start andthrew for 304-yards with two touchdowns but three interceptions. Devin Neal was the star for Kansas running for 224-yards and a touchdown on 32 carries.
