STILLWATER – There was a price to it, but most important was the huge reward to it. Oklahoma State went to work in the bye week to rediscover what it takes to cook up big wins inside Boone Pickens Stadium and on the road through what is now a new Big 12 and is going to be an even bigger and tougher Big 12 in the future. Head coach Mike Gundy pushed hard and his coaches and team responded causing the head coach in celebration to have to do more.

They certainly started this game much different than the last four. And the play calls were really interesting and much more mixed it seemed, especially first half.

I came here to see what the Nancies had to say. The Negative Nancies. Seems they're on every message board following any loss. But nowhere to be found after a surprising upset win. They can't even manage to acknowledge a great win.

Anyway, great win for the Cowboys. They've come a long way over the last three weeks and two games. Hopefully there's more improvement to come. So much still to play for.

Great start which can be turned into a winning habit. With huge two OL recruits on crowd next Saturday, It is important to continue our revenge tour against KU.

Win that, we have a chance to salvage the season and even win 8 games at the end of it.

Will not be easy. Stop KU run, we can win it.

But that can wait. Enjoy this KSU win a little.

You could see Coach Gundy's fingerprints on both sides of the ball in the Kansas State game. He's obviously

very knowledgeable. It's easy to forget that we have very experienced assistant coaches that offer

a wealth of football smarts and life smarts. Coach Dunn, Dickey, Rattay, etc. put a good game plan together for

the Wildcats with Gundy's blessing.

My guess is that Coaches Joe Bob, Duffie, Richmond, etc. are teaching Coach Nardo how to coach at the D1 level.

The defense looked much better Friday. Hopefully the progress continues.

The Jayhawks will be tough next Saturday. They routed Central Florida yesterday. Thankfully we get them at

home.

Great win by the Cowboys, coaches and staff! Be positive everyone or you'll get in trouble!

Great time in Stillwater on Friday. First I want to thank the fans. Great win. If you are going to get blamed for losses, congrats on a great win. (Tongue in cheek). Honestly, it was a great turnout and enthusiastic crowd. Show out even when we haven't had much to cheer about up till Friday. Loyal and true for sure

It's amazing the difference a passionate fired up team can make. Lots of enthusiasm from the start. Haven't seen that since Texas last year. Great job by team leaders and coaches finding that energy and desire to fight.

Coach Dickey and Coach Dunn. I want to start with you guys. Great job by the line and play calling in the first half. The kids did great and you gave them a chance with some creativity. You've taken the brunt of the criticism and deserve some credit. Excellent job. Defensive coaches and kids showed what they are made of. Didn't hang their heads after a stinker in Ames and went to work. Great sign for future improvement.

Coach Gundy responded how he needed to this week. He proved he can still lead. The leaders on this team showed this team is different than last year. That is huge for the future.

The enthusiasm is good to see. I hope everyone gets busy improving on this weeks performance. Mistakes were made, admitted or not, the first 4 games. We should be 5-0 after showing what we can do. Learn from it and run the table the rest of the year. Great job everyone on a well deserved win. Beat KU and Go Pokes.

I can understand the negativity and how upset people can get over such disappointing results, but there are some people out there on social media such as YouTube and a couple of media types who have full blown cases of GDS (GUNDY DERANGEMENT SYNDROME)!!!
You are definitely right Gumby, great win and hopefully it is all good for OSU as the season progresses!

This Kansas team defensively is not as good as the two opponents we just played!

It seems odd, bizarre even, being concerned about a home game against KU. But, I've watched them and even without Jalon or is it Jalen???? Anyway, even without him, they are solid. But, with renewed emotional energy and confidence, we will get 'em! Great work (mostly) by our maligned oline.
