MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – Oklahoma State dropped a 1-0 contest to West Virginia Sunday at Dick Dlesk Stadium. With the loss, which marked OSU's third consecutive 1-0 defeat, the Cowgirls fell to 11-5-0 and 4-3-0 in the Big 12, while WVU improved to 5-7-3 and 3-3-1 in league play. The Cowgirls have scored just five goals in their previous six matches.

The Cowgirls recorded five shots in the opening half and nearly capitalized on a number of set pieces at West Virginia. OSU recorded five corner kicks prior to intermission and had headers from Mollie Breiner, Logan Heausler and Xcaret Pineda off three of those that were each saved.

The game went into halftime scoreless, with WVU matching OSU's five shots in the opening 45 minutes but only putting one of those on frame.

In the second half, the Cowgirls were outshot by a 7-1 margin, with the lone score in the match coming in the 68th minute when Taylor White got behind the defense to collect a pass into the box and send it in for her eighth goal of the season.

Grace Gordon finished with six saves in the match, five of those coming after intermission. Gordon has allowed just six goals in the previous nine matches.

OSU returns to action Thursday when its hosts nationally ranked BYU at Neal Patterson Stadium. Kickoff is set for 7 p.m.
