STILLWATER – Initially expected to make his college commitment this week, Waco Connally standout five-star prospect Kobe Black backed off of that and will now make his choice for college known on Wednesday, Dec. 13. The 6-2, 190-pound corner that has played receiver, running back, and wildcat quarterback on offense as well as returned punts and kickoffs is one of the top-rated players in the 2024 class that has yet to make a commitment.

How long do you want to ignore this user?
He would make an awesome addition to this great 2024 DB Class...

If he gets to cross over a year with his brother at OSU, I'd think we have a great shot. He can also obviously portal out after a year or two if he doesn't think OSU is great or that he improves his NFL draft status in the B10 or SEC. I doubt that's an issue personally as the NFL drafts wherever.

Reverse effect…he could be waiting on his brother to hit the portal before announcing…

that makes ZERO sense... unless, of course, some team has already made a deal to accept both... which is pretty much illegal, as we know.

Makes a little sense… they didn't think OSU would make it to the championship game… he had to reschedule so his brother could play in the game and then transfer after…

It's a likely scenario, but more probable he wanted to meet the new A&M staff and let them make an impression.

I'm rooting for us, but wouldn't be surprised. People have poached our kids "outside" if the rules before!

bleh... that's just plain silly. Why wouldn't he just commit someplace and then his brother could come when he's available (like after our bowl)?

Your scenario just seems improbable. Makes zero sense.

It makes much more sense that he could be waiting (to commit) to see if we're going to have a decent team, or whether we'll have no QB again, no RB, no OLine, the LBs leave again, etc.

Oh it's probable, just might not happen. By your logic, he would announce after the portal closes wouldn't he? He isn't…

that would make it POSSIBLE, not probable.

Unfortunately I am hearing they are both heading to UT for bigger NIL money than we can do…
