Receiver Blaine Green Enters Transfer Portal
STILLWATER – Wide receiver Blaine Green has entered the transfer portal.
Green becomes the second scholarship player to enter the portal this year for the Pokes, joining defensive back Lardarius Webb Jr., who entered following the Big 12 title game.
The redshirt senior out of Allen, TX, played in 10 games this season for the Pokes, recording 13 receptions for 102 yards, with most of those yards coming in a 58-yard day against Iowa State to open Big 12 play.
Green has dealt with some injuries during his career as a Pokes, as well as a few position changes, as they moved him from receiver to cowboy back and back to receiver. He was poised to have a huge year at Cowboys back in 2022 when he suffered a broken wrist in fall camp.
Green was a good teammate and a good student at Oklahoma State. I know I will miss covering him.
In two seasons on the field, Green recorded 34 receptions for 416 yards and just one touchdown. Green had a great freshman season in 2021 as he hauled in 314 yards and a touchdown, earning Honorable Mention Big 12 Offensive Freshman of the Year from the league’s coaches.
Green came to Oklahoma State with his twin brother and fellow receiver Bryson Green. Bryson went into the transfer portal after the 2022 season and transferred to Wisconsin. He was the third leading receiver this season for the Badgers with 25 receptions for 375-yards with one touchdown and an average 0f 15.0-yardsper reception.
