Tax Act Texas Bowl Injury Report - Stribling Not Back, Korie Black Questionable
HOUSTON, Texas – Texas A&M has lost close to 20 players to either injuries, the transfer portal, or declaring for the NFL Draft. Oklahoma State is missing fewer players than the Aggies, but there are some important contributors that will not play tonight.
Let’s start with the players that have been out for some time. There was hope that wide receiver De’Zhaun Stribling, with the wrist injury back early in the season, might make it back, but the doctors have determined it is safer to hold Stribling out and give him plenty of time to be ready for spring and next season.
This past week tight end Ian Edenfield broke his lower leg in practice and is out. Season ending knee injuries have offensive guard Jason Brooks Jr., nose tackle A.J. Ridener, nose tackle Jed Wagoner, linebacker Justin Wright and safety Lyrik Rawls out. Wide receiver Talyn Shettron had a fractured clavicle and is out.
Questionable for the game with Texas A&M are starting corner Korie Black with a groin strain and freshman receiver Jalen Pope with a hamstring injury.
The rest of the Cowboys are good to go including running back Elijah Collins, who is coming off an ankle sprain that held him out for over a month.
