STILLWATER --It was back to work today for some of the support staff for Oklahoma State football as the recruiting staff was back to continue evaluating NCAA Transfer Portal entries as the football window closes at midnight tonight. Oklahoma State is bringing in a pair of players that we know of in Ohio University tight end Tyler Foster and Gannon University defensive end Obi Ezeigbo, but as of late this afternoon Benedict College wide receiver Reginald Harden posted he has an OSU offer from being in the portal and is planning to visit Oklahoma State.

Actually, Harden and two other scheduled visitors out of the Cowboys transfer portal offers (Tyler Foster, TE, Ohio Univ. [6-7, 250] and Obi Ezeigbo, DE, Gannon Univ. [6-3, 252]) are all visiting as of Wednesday afternoon.

Reginald Harden

Harden is junior, originally out of Jacksonville (William Raines), Fla., attended Florida State initially as a walk-on with an academic scholarship before transferring to Benedict College. This season Harden had 17 receptions for 424-yards and four touchdowns for the historic black college located in Columbia, South Carolina.

Harden has two-years of eligibility left. He also has offers from South Alabama, James Madison, and Arkansas State. This is just the kind of prospect that OSU hits a “home run” with.

He measures 6-5, 200-pounds, so it would appear that Oklahoma State is hoping lightning strikes twice out of the portal for a big receiver as the Cowboys hit it big with George Fox University receiver Leon Johnson III this past season and past portal cycle.

Coincidentally, Oklahoma State pulled a nice recruiting plum late in the process out of the same area with big running back Jaden Allen-Hendrix. The 6-2, 225-pound Allen-Hendrix ran up huge rushing numbers at Irmo High School in the Columbia, S.C. area.

Harden on a big play last season.

Harden had his biggest game and almost half his career numbers in the season ender for the Tigers against Lenoir-Rhyne as he caught six passes for 230-yards and three touchdowns that included an 87-yard touchdown connection. In his career, Harden has 23 receptions for 564-yards and six touchdowns.

In high school, according to MaxPreps, Harden was more of a defensive player. He only had one career reception on offense. On defense he had 91 tackles, 61 unassisted, 15 tackles-for-loss, 9.0 sacks, an interception returned for a touchdown, and a fumble forced.

Watching high school tape from his time at Raines High School in Jacksonville he is an under-developed high school athlete that is now hitting his potential. You can see in his college video from Benedict that he has converted to receiver and is improving each game with his skills and techniques at the position.

Pokes Report has learned that Harden will visit soon as will the other expected visitors in Ohio University tight end Tyler Foster and Gannon University transfer defensive end Obi Ezeigbo.
