Oklahoma State Cowgirls Lose 5th Straight and Bedlam in Stillwater

STILLWATER – Oklahoma State's women's basketball team fell to Oklahoma, 81-74, on Saturday afternoon at Gallagher-Iba Arena.
The loss is the fifth straight for OSU, and it drops the Cowgirls to 11-11 on the season and 4-7 in conference play.
Hannah Gusters led Oklahoma State with 22 points and five rebounds in her return from a one-game absence. Quincy Noble added 17 points and six rebounds and Anna Gret Asi finished with 15.

The Cowgirls started hot on the offensive end, scoring 24 points in the opening quarter. Noble had 13 in the period for OSU as it took an eight-point lead to the second.
Oklahoma kept the game close in the second, tying it at 30 at the 5:37 mark of the quarter. The Cowgirls would score the final five points of the half to take a 40-33 lead to the break.
In the third, the Sooners continued to chip away at the OSU lead, posting 24 points in the period on 52.6% shooting from the field and 4-9 from three. The Cowgirls got a layup from Noble as the quarter ended to take a 59-57 lead into the fourth.
Oklahoma opened the fourth quarter on a 12-3 run, taking a lead that it would never relinquish. The Sooners finished with 48 second-half points on their way to the 81-74 victory.

Oklahoma State will look to get back on track during its upcoming two-game road trip, with the first stop taking place in Manhattan, Kansas, for a battle with Kansas State next Saturday.
