OSU Coaching Search: List of Candidates Oklahoma State Should Pursue

STILLWATER – The news came down Thursday morning that Oklahoma State has fired men’s basketball head coach Mike Boynton. It came after yet another disappointing season with a 12-20 overall record and a 4-14 record in Big 12 play. His overall record in seven seasons 119-109 and was 51-75 in Big 12 play.

Now the search is on to find a new head coach, which is going to be an interesting situation. Boynton’s buyout is $8.1 million.

If Phil Forte is not a head coach possibility, then he should certainly get a look as an assistant.

I think the AD made a tremendous mistake! What if the buyout money was put into the NIL? Now, we're sure to lose most if not all our prized freshman, Javon Small and Bryce Thompson.

The buyout money was only available for buyout.
