The Cowboys should make some noise in Kansa City. I look for the Pokes to fare much better than their

showing in Tulsa last year. Troy Spratley at 125 and Tagen Jamison at 141 are very talented but young wrestlers.

Both wrestlers should score some points, but I see both of them succumbing to more experienced wrestlers.

I don't see Spratley or Jamison placing at the 2024 NCAA Tournament.

Daton Fix is the 1 seed at 133. Fix has the ability to win it all, but goes against 2 wrestlers that may be a touch

more talented. Vito Arujau of Cornell and Ryan Crookham of Lehigh both present considerable challenges to

Daton Fix. Kai Orine of NC State also will have a say as to who the 133 pound champion will be.

I don't look for Jordan Williams 149, Teague Travis 157 and Brayden Thompson 174 to last long in the tournament. All 3 wrestlers

are young with a lot of promise for the future.

Izzak Olejnik 165 is a talented wrestler that has stepped in class. He's been scouted heavily and

Olejnik has started to lose matches, I think Olejnik can finish as high as 7th place, I don't believe

he can handle the top 6 seeds.

Dustin Plott 184 should have a good tournament. Moving to a higher weight could cause Plott

to finish either 3rd or 4th.

Luke Surber has been a solid wrestler for the Cowboys over the last 4 years. His seed in the 20s

will make it difficult for Surber to place in the NCAA Tournament.

Konner Doucet 285 is not the flashiest wrestler in Cowboy history, but he's a smart and capable

Heavyweight. Hopefully Doucet can muster a couple of takedowns that can propel him to several wins.

I pick Doucet to finish 7th at 285.

My picks for the 2024 NCAA tournament are as follows:

Daton Fix 133 - 2nd Place

Izzak Olejnik 165 - 6th Place

Dustin Plott - 3rd Place

Konner Doucet - 7th Place

Team Final Place - Best Case 7th Place Worst - Case 10th Place

Go Cowboys!
