STILLWATER – Congratulations to Zach Lancaster and Pokes Report. I worked on the situation with Zach and teamwork on Wednesday came up with Steve Lutz being the next head coach for men’s basketball at Oklahoma State. With the exception of my broadcast partner on the Cowboys Radio Network, who I conferred with and found out that Zach and I went through a completely different path to land on Lutz than John did at KOTV-Channel 6.

Highly doubt we hear news today. What sense would it make to announce in the middle of Easter weekend? I say Monday. Hopefully.

I think things are hung up on the length. 7 years is too long for us to commit to......if he were to flop and have 5 years 18 million left on the contract, we are in another ford/boynton situation where we live it out and run the program deeper into the abyss its already in.

7 years is fine.... that can't be it.

both Ford and Boynton lasted 7 years.

Hope that's the issue, but you have to wonder if a preferred offer for Lutz has come into play.
