New ESPN 300 is Out and Like Mike Gundy Said: OSU Does Offer the Top Tier
STILLWATER – Oklahoma State has begun to entertain football prospects for the 2025 class for official visits as the recruiting calendar has gone into an active recruiting period. Close to 30 official visits will happen this month including the cover player on this story in Richland, Texas running back Michael Turner, who is No. 200 on the most recently released ESPN 300.
Before April 1 in the first three spring football practices and continuing this week the Oklahoma State recruiting and coaching staff have welcomed a large number, the most in memory, of unofficial visitors to those practices. There were 18 unofficial visits by prospects for the first practice and then 19 were there for the first Saturday practice on March 30.
This week there are eight official visitors on campus. They will be eating wings, angus burger sliders, hot dogs and more in the outfield at Bedlam baseball in O’Brate Stadium on Friday night. There is practice on Saturday morning and a more formal meal on Saturday evening. Spring recruiting has been very siuccesful for Mike Gundy and company.
“People don’t think we offer the top recruits, but we do,” Gundy said earlier this spring. “We offer those players we think fit us and some of them buy in, others don’t give us a chance. We try to get them to come to campus. What we do as a program is find the right guys that fit and will develop in our system.”
ESPN came out with their latest ESPN Top 300. Here is a rundown of those players Oklahoma State has offered and where their recruiting status is with regards to the OSU program.

Oklahoma State, like Mike Gundy said, is recruiting the five-star and four-star talent. There are some five and four-star prospects beyond the ESPN 300. No service is perfect as there are a lot of prospect to evaluate. A good example is the April 5 commitment of Addison (Trinity Christian), Texas offensive tackle Jaylan Beckley. Beckley is four-star prospect in our eyes. The offers he had add up to that, but the video is the proof along with the athletic talents.
Our friend at Dave Campbell’s Texas Football Greg Powers has him as a top 10 offensive line prospect in Texas.
Beauty is still in the ey of the beholder in recruiting and for Oklahoma State the top recruits are the ones that master strength and conditioning coach Rob Glass and his staff can develop into top college talent.
